Fellow Republicans, let’s address the recent display of liberal bias in action. Whoopi Goldberg, once a comedian, now co-hosts “The View” on ABC.
She recently retold a joke made by former Vice President Mike Pence, but her reaction was anything but humorous. Pence quipped about Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s two-month “maternity leave” during an airline crisis, causing “everyone else [to get] postpartum depression.”
The audience laughed, but Goldberg scolded them for finding it amusing, stating that it wasn’t funny when Tucker Carlson and Lauren Boebert told it either.
This happened during the Gridiron Club Dinner in Washington, where politicians and press members gather. Pence, who may be considering a presidential run, is also asked to testify against former President Donald Trump.
Trump has filed a motion in federal court to stop Pence from testifying before a grand jury, arguing privileged information. Pence also plans to fight the subpoena, invoking his role as president of the Senate.
Legal experts suggest Trump may have caught a break in the Georgia election tampering investigation. This incident shows the left’s hypocrisy when it comes to humor, as they criticize Pence for making a simple joke.
