This Top Official’s Actions Are Drawing Major Heat, You Need To See This

The urgent need for action at the U.S.-Mexico border continues to escalate, prompting leading Republican lawmaker House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) to demand the impeachment of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Emmer argues that Mayorkas’s consistent failure to address the border crisis effectively leaves no choice but to remove him from office.

In an interview with Breitbart News, Emmer expressed his deep frustration with the overwhelmed southern border, which he views as a clear testament to the Biden administration’s negligence. Emmer highlighted the alarming consequences of this inaction, such as the disappearance of children and the entrance of individuals on the terrorist watch list into the country.

This call for impeachment comes as a direct response to President Biden’s decision to lift the Title 42 border barrier, a policy implemented by former President Donald Trump to tackle the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic. Emmer firmly believes that this move has only worsened the situation at the border by eliminating one of the last remaining tools available to manage illegal migration.

The numbers speak volumes. Since President Biden assumed office and reversed many of Trump’s immigration and border security policies, over five million illegal migrants have been encountered by U.S. border officials. Emmer sees this as a deliberate failure to act, a clear violation of Mayorkas’s duty, and grounds for initiating impeachment proceedings.

Emmer goes even further, accusing the Biden administration of having “blood on their hands,” echoing concerns raised by Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX). McCaul, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, has voiced his criticism of Mayorkas for potential child abuse resulting from the insufficient vetting of sponsors for migrant children.

This is not the first time Republicans have taken steps towards impeachment against Mayorkas. Earlier articles of impeachment were filed in February, and Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) has recently introduced a new article, accusing Mayorkas of violating his oath of office and failing to enforce duly-passed immigration laws. Rep. Pat Fallon (R-Texas) initiated the first articles of impeachment back in January.

Emmer remains resolute in his demand for accountability, regardless of the Senate’s position. He firmly insists that Mayorkas either resigns or faces impeachment. Emmer underlines that the border crisis is not a political spectacle but a critical issue requiring swift action and a dedicated leader.

It is high time we restore order, secure our borders, and hold Mayorkas accountable for his failure to address this crisis adequately. The American people deserve a leader who prioritizes their safety and upholds the rule of law. Let us unite in demanding the immediate impeachment of Secretary Mayorkas.
