Republican voters, get ready to cheer, because Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his team are at it again, showing why they’re leading the way in successful governance.
DeSantis’ campaign spokeswoman, Christina Pushaw, recently shut down New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who had sarcastically welcomed DeSantis to the Big Apple. Adams went on to criticize DeSantis and Florida, but Pushaw was quick to respond with facts that exposed Adams’ ignorance.
It’s true that more Americans are leaving New York than any other metro area, and many of them are relocating to Florida, where DeSantis is working hard to make the state a great place to live, work and raise a family.
Pushaw highlighted that crime rates in Florida are at a 50-year low, while major crime in New York City surged by 23% in 2022. It’s hard to tout progressive values when people are too scared to leave their apartments.
Adams is not the first blue-state leader to go after DeSantis. In September, California Governor Gavin Newsom ran ads criticizing DeSantis’ COVID response, only to be roasted by DeSantis with the same weapon Pushaw used: facts.
DeSantis pointed out that while Newsom was locking down his citizens, he was having extravagant dinners at the French Laundry. Meanwhile, in Florida, they protected individuals’ freedoms and lifted people up.
It’s clear that DeSantis is vastly outperforming Newsom, Adams and other blue-state leaders. Crime and homelessness are surging in their states, and their COVID responses were draconian and ineffective. People are voting with their feet and leaving.
Republican voters, it’s no surprise that DeSantis is gaining national attention and is being touted as a potential presidential candidate in 2024. He’s doing a fantastic job in Florida, and he’s not afraid to stand up to the failed leaders of blue states who are attacking him with weak rhetoric and misguided policies.
DeSantis’ success comes from his willingness to put people first and to make the tough decisions that improve their lives. He’s shown that protecting individual freedoms and lifting people up is a winning formula for success. His team, including Pushaw, is armed with facts and ready to shut down any baseless attacks.
Republican voters, keep an eye on DeSantis and his team. They’re leading the way in successful governance, and they’re showing the country what a well-run state looks like.
It’s time to take note and support leaders who put people first, lift them up and protect their freedoms. With DeSantis at the helm, the future looks bright for Florida, and potentially, the nation.
