The mainstream media is at it again, ignoring yet another scandal involving the President’s son, Hunter Biden. This time, an IRS criminal supervisory agent has requested whistleblower protection, claiming that the five-year investigation into Hunter Biden is being impacted by “preferential treatment and politics.”
And to add insult to injury, the White House has responded to the allegations just days before President Joe Biden is reportedly announcing his re-election campaign.
White House spokesman Ian Sams told Fox News Digital that the president has stood by his commitment to Department of Justice “independence” and said that the investigation is “free from any political interference.”
Despite these allegations, the legacy media is still trying to protect Hunter Biden by downplaying the news. CBS led the way for the broadcast networks with a story on April 19, as the news broke.
Both ABC and NBC followed the next morning with their own takes. But it is clear that they are still trying to cover for Hunter and his father, Joe Biden.
This is a perfect example of the double standard that exists in the media when it comes to Democrats versus Republicans. If this investigation involved a Republican president’s son, you can bet that the media would be all over it, but because it involves a Democrat president’s son, they are trying to sweep it under the rug.
It is time for the American people to demand accountability from the media and from our elected officials. We cannot allow them to cover up scandals and protect their own at the expense of the American people.
