A recent poll conducted by McLaughlin & Associates has shown that Democrats are split on who they want to see as their candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
The poll found that only 2 in 10 Democrats surveyed supported President Joe Biden for the 2024 primary, while Michelle Obama came in second with 16 percent support.
Other potential candidates like Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Hillary Clinton, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Gavin Newsom, Beto O’Rourke, Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, and Amy Klobuchar all had support ranging from 2 to 8 percent.
This split among Democrats could make it difficult for the party to unite behind a single candidate in 2024. If they cannot rally behind a strong candidate, it may be difficult for them to win the general election.
